Terms of service

1. This agreement

These terms are between you and WiselyHub LLC (“we”, “us”). They apply when you use rulefence.com or purchase a licence from us. By doing either, you accept them. If you are accepting on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you may bind it.

Three documents work together and each governs a different thing: these terms cover the website and the commercial relationship, the licence terms cover use of the software, and the refund policy covers cancellations. Where they genuinely conflict on a point about the software, the licence terms prevail.

2. Accounts and licence keys

• Give accurate details at purchase. We use them to issue and support your licence.
• Keep your licence key confidential. You are responsible for activity under it.
• Tell us promptly if you believe your key has been exposed, and we will reissue it.
• A licence is issued to one customer. Do not resell, share, or sublicense it except as the licence terms permit.

3. Plans, prices and renewal

Current plan prices are shown on the pricing page. Licence scope and checkout terms are presented before you pay. Prices exclude taxes unless stated; applicable taxes are added at checkout.

• Paid licences are annual and renew automatically unless you cancel before the renewal date.
• We notify you before a renewal charge, at the email address on the account.
• Cancel at any time from your account or by emailing [email protected]. Cancellation stops the next renewal; it does not shorten the term you have already paid for.
• We may change prices for future terms. A price change never applies to a term you have already paid for, and we give notice before a renewal at a new price.

Refunds are governed by the refund policy.

4. What a licence includes

An active licence entitles you, for its term and within its scope, to:

• Use the paid edition on the number of sites the plan allows.
• Receive updates published during the term.
• Use the support channel for your plan, as described on the support page.

When a licence lapses, the plugin does not disable your site and does not delete your data. You stop receiving updates and support, and paid-edition features may become unavailable.

5. Acceptable use

You may not use this website, the licence service, or our support channels to:

• Break the law, or help someone else do so.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems or another customer’s data.
• Circumvent licence checks, or distribute a modified build presented as ours.
• Disrupt the service, including by automated load or scraping that degrades it for others.
• Submit malicious code, or content you have no right to submit.

Security testing is welcome under the responsible disclosure policy and nowhere outside it.

6. Your site remains yours

You are responsible for your WordPress installation, its hosting, its backups, the agents you connect, and the permissions you grant. The plugin governs requests; it does not administer your site for you.

In particular, you decide which Abilities to allow, which require approval, and which are blocked. We give you conservative defaults, classification evidence, and a record of every decision — the decisions themselves are yours.

7. Intellectual property

The plugin is released under GPL-2.0-or-later and its licence travels with the code. Everything else — this website’s content and design, the RuleFence name and logo, and our documentation — remains ours and is not covered by that licence. You may quote documentation with attribution; you may not present our brand as your own.

8. Availability

We aim to keep this website and the licence endpoint available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service, and we may take either offline for maintenance. Because the plugin is local-first, your site’s governance keeps working when our systems are not reachable, and an unreachable licence server is never treated as a verdict.

9. Warranties and disclaimers

We provide the website and the licence service with reasonable skill and care. The software is provided under its own licence, which disclaims warranties to the extent the law permits.

We do not warrant that the software will prevent every unwanted action by every agent on every site. It enforces the boundary you configure, above the boundary WordPress already enforces. It cannot compensate for a permission you chose to grant, an over-privileged WordPress user, or a compromised host.

Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be limited by agreement.

10. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law permits, neither party is liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of data, or business interruption. Our total liability arising from these terms is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Nothing here excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.

11. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or end your access if you materially breach these terms — and, where the breach can be fixed, only after asking you to fix it. You may stop using the service at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive termination do so.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Material changes take effect for a new term or 30 days after we post them, whichever comes first, and we will tell you before they apply to you. The effective date at the top always reflects the current version.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, USA, and the courts of the State of Wyoming have exclusive jurisdiction, without affecting mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.
